If you are a permanent resident in Australia or an Australian citizen, you can apply for a family visa for the members of your family unit. Here we have a list of family visas. This list contains all the visas available for migration, either onshore or offshore. You can apply for family members such as parents, children, relatives, or carers. For a family migration letter to be successful, both the sponsor and the applicant need to converge the eligibility criteria for the visa.

FAMILY VISAS FOR PARENTS:

PARENT VISA (SUBCLASS 103)

This visa allows you to move to and stay in Australia as a permanent resident. You can sponsor family members to come to Australia and apply for citizenship if eligible.

CONTRIBUTORY PARENT (TEMPORARY) VISA (SUBCLASS 173)

It is a temporary visa that lets a parent of a settled Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen stay temporarily in Australia for up to 2 years. You can also apply for a permanent Contributory Parent visa (subclass 143).

CONTRIBUTORY PARENT (PERMANENT) VISA (SUBCLASS 143)

It is a permanent visa. It lets a parent of a settled Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident of Australia or eligible New Zealand citizen move to Australia. You can sponsor family members to come to Australia and apply for citizenship if eligible.

SPONSORED PARENT (TEMPORARY) VISA (SUBCLASS 870)

With this visa, a parent of a settled Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident of Australia or eligible New Zealand citizen can visit Australia for up to 3 to 5 years. You can also apply for further visas to stay up to a maximum period of 10 years.

AGED PARENT VISA (SUBCLASS 804)

This permanent visa lets an “aged” parent of a settled Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen stay in Australia.

CONTRIBUTORY AGED PARENT (TEMPORARY) VISA (SUBCLASS 884)

This temporary visa lets the aged parent of a settled Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen stay temporarily in Australia for up to 2 years. You can also apply for a permanent Contributory Aged Parent visa (subclass 864).

This permanent visa lets the aged parent of a settled Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen stay in Australia. You can sponsor family members to come to Australia and apply for citizenship if eligible.

FAMILY VISAS FOR CHILD:

CHILD VISA (SUBCLASS 101)

This visa lets a child outside Australia move to Australia to live with their parents. You can study, access medicare, and apply for Australian citizenship if eligible.

CHILD VISA (SUBCLASS 802)

This visa allows a child to stay in Australia permanently and live with their parents. You can study, access medicare, and apply for Australian citizenship if eligible.

DEPENDENT CHILD VISA (SUBCLASS 445)

This visa allows a child to stay in Australia temporarily while we process their parent’s permanent Partner visa application. This visa allows travel, work, and study in Australia.

ADOPTION VISA (SUBCLASS 102)

This visa lets children adopted outside Australia live in Australia with their adoptive parents. You can migrate to Australia as a permanent resident to live with your adoptive parent.

FAMILY VISAS FOR RELATIVES:

REMAINING RELATIVES VISA (SUBCLASS 115 & 835)

This permanent visa lets people move to or stay in Australia to be with their only close family members. You can live, work, and study in Australia as a permanent resident.

ORPHAN RELATIVE (SUBCLASS 117 & 837)

This visa lets a child who is single to move to or stay in Australia with a relative if their parents are dead, can’t care for them or can’t be found. You can live, work, and study in Australia as a permanent resident.

AGED DEPENDENT RELATIVE VISA (SUBCLASS 114 & 838)

This permanent visa lets a single older person, who relies on a relative living in Australia for financial support, move to or stay in Australia permanently.
